I have found instrumental recordings, and I have looked for the lyrics by searching the stanzas, but unable to find the lyrics.
It begins, " It happened in ol' Oklahoma, One night 'neath the beautiful moon. ....
It is era 1930's or 40's

im trying to learn the guitar, and i got a few chords down and ive been practicing, but i was trying to play a real easy song, and the lesson thing started going off about beats and measure.

"The rhythm of the song is in 4 / 4 time (four beats per measure) and the chords change each and every measure. For starters, do a simple downstroke, either on all four beats or (if you'd like a little variation) on the first, second and fourth beats."

i have absolutely NO idea what that means, and noone in my family is musically talented, so im trying to substitute that with practice. but i tried looking it up and noone seems to have an adequate definition.

I am really confused and would appreciate all the information you can give!
