"Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer." That's kind of a country song, right? Adam Sandler might have one, but I'm not sure.

THE VERY BEST ONE IS BY JOHN PRINE~ CALLED "GRANDPA WAS A CARPENTER" :

Grandpa wore his suit to dinner
Nearly every day
No particular reason
He just dressed that way
Brown necktie and a matching vest
And both his wingtip shoes
He built a closet on our back porch
And put a penny in a burned out fuse.

[Chorus:]
Grandpa was a carpenter
He built houses stores and banks
Chain smoked Camel cigarettes
And hammered nails in planks
He was level on the level
And shaved even every door
And voted for Eisenhower
'Cause Lincoln won the war.

Well, he used to sing me
"Blood on the Saddle"
And rock me on his knee
And let me listen to radio
Before we got TV
Well, he'd drive to church on Sunday
And take me with him too!
Stained glass in every window
Hearing aids in every pew.

[Chorus]

Now my grandma was a teacher
Went to school in Bowling Green
Traded in a milking cow
For a Singer sewing machine
She called her husband "Mister"
And walked real tall and pride
And used to buy me comic books
After grandpa died.

[Chorus]
********************************
theres this song called " grandpa tell me bout the good ol days"

Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Sometimes it feels like this world's gone crazy
And Grandpa, take me back to yesterday
When the line between right and wrong
Didn't seem so hazy

Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other, come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say?
Did families really bow their heads to pray
Did daddies really never go away?
Oh, Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days

Grandpa, everything is changing fast
We call it progress, but I just don't know
And Grandpa, let's wander back into the past
And paint me the picture of long ago

Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other, come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say?
And then forget
Did families really bow their heads to pray
Did daddies really never go away?
Oh, Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Oh, Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days

About how old is your grandma, if you can tell me that i can help you with music from the time frame? Sentimental Journey-Dorris Day....that may be too old. How about her wedding song?

Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Vinton

Something we did for my Aunt when she turned 90. Each member of the family wrote favorite memories of her through the years. Everyone sent them to my son and his wife and they made a "90 Things We Love About You" and put them on sort of a long sheet, fixed real pretty and framed it. When we had her birthday party, each of us took turns reading the things we loved best and she was quite pleased. I lost my Grandmothers before I was old enough to think about something like this.
For my Dad, we took several old photos and had them put on a disk with background music, we all got teary eyed over that.

But probably NOT appropriate! Sorry :(

"Guardian Angels" by The Judds has the right sort of sentiment to it, but it's about both grandparents, not just about Grandma.
