In general i will say NO NO NO NO, rock or heavy metal music is not bad for people.
-Do they fill the person with negative emotions?? and frustration??-
OF COURSE NO, THEY NEVER INJECT THE NEGATIVE EMOTIONS TO PEOPLE WHO LISTEN TO THEM, THEY JUST PLAY THEIR MUSIC TO EXPRESS WHAT THEY FEEL, SEE, WANT, HATE ETC, SO ALL THE MATTERS ARE BELONG TO OUR HEART WHO FILTER IT.

Do they make the person an antisocial element???
IN THIS WORLD OF MUSIC, THE BEST WEBSITE OR ANY LOCAL PLACE THAT CONTAINS ABOUT A COMMUNITY IS FROM HEAVY METAL MUSIC, SO MANY COMMUNITIES THAT INVOLVED SO MANY PEOPLE THAT TALKED, REVIEWED ETC ABOUT HEAVY METAL MUSIC. AND THAT'S REALLY NOT AN ANTISOCIAL.

Do they dont give people peace and happiness???
ABSOLUTELY, THEY GIVE US SO MUCH MORE HAPPINESS THROUGH THEIR MUSIC, THEIR MUSIC SO AGGRESSIVE AND EXPLODING, SO THAT MUSIC GIVE US SOME SPIRIT TO FACE OUR LIVES.

THAT'S MY OPINION.

If rock and heavy metal has some negative effect on a person, they already have some sort of problem going on. Fundamentalist groups have been blaming rock music for everything since rock music was first introduced. To me, rock is more peaceful, and much happier, than classical music, or some of that other stuff.

I would say that the music itself is not bad for people. However if you are negatively affected then you should not listen to it. I happen to like metal and listen to it regularly, but sometimes it is not the best choice for me to listen to. I change it up to fit my moods. Metal deals with the struggles of life and how life is often not fair. It gives a voice to people who are for the most part out of the mainstream. As a person you are so much more than a headbanger or whatever music you listen to. If you are not enjoying it stop for a time.

I personally find it gets a lot of the 'gggrrr' and negativity out of me to listen to heavy stuff, it can be quite cathartic.

If you want me to be full of negativity and frustration, stick me in a sealed room listening to Mariah Carey. Now that would be music that would be bad for me.

Ultimately, we all have different tastes and different music for different moods. It might work the way you describe for some, but from my own experience and knowledge of others I wouldn't say this is true of everyone.

No it's not. I'm at my happiest listening to angst ridden music! I'm fairly well rounded and polite as far as i can tell.

Rock music does not make a person anti social, people are more than capable of doing that for themselves.

No, it's not bad for people. I listen to rock and I'm OK. It only has negative effects on people who already have problems anyway.

No. If people listen to it because want to listen to it, then it makes them happy. Listening to your favorite music shouldnt give you negative emotions.
