is this the band that has the red haired chick singer??? cause i thought that that band was called paramound but i searched for it on yahoo!music and couldn't find them. they sing a song called "pressure" that i really like. can any body tell me what band i'm looking for...like what their name is or anything?!?

Hi,

I recently went into a music store.. and the dude tried to sell me all this computer equipment.. which was expensive.. and which had no strings.. and little other than a keyboard.. and a boz of computer disks.. he told me it was what everyone was doing these days..

I thought.. Hmmm.. how strange!!

I've devoted my life ot learning to read and write music.. to compose.. and also to learn ot play numerous instruments.. NOW I'm being told.. throw it all out the window.. a computer does it all..

Is this for real??

OR are we being fed YET ANOTHER lie here?? another big money spinner for someone..

I mean how can you ever perform with a computer.. and where is the creative merit to using a pre-arranged sequence and set of patches to produce your music?? Doesnt that make music production DEFUNCT since now ANYONE can do it!!

I mean take techno music.. a blind man can arrange a song using programs like "Fruity Loops" ..

Is this killing musicianship??

I want an electric guitar. Im looking for something in the 500 range(up to 100 more). Ive heard that gibsons and fenders(the top name brands) can be overpriced AND overrated. So Im willing to buy another brand thats quality and dependable. Ok maybe its not a gibson les paul, but something decent.
Are Hamers or Ibanez's any good? I saw a couple online (double cuts) that looked really cool.
I would like a double cut type, not like a heavy metal type guitar, and not like a fender shaped. something looking more like a gibson double cut.

When you hear a song that you like, which you haven't heard in years, do you ever feel sick to your stomach for some reason? I dunno if it's cause you miss being young or whatever or some memories that come up, but I just heard a song that I didn't listen to since high school and I felt like I was gonna throw up even though I LOVE that song.

There's a song about this guy in a diner or something and he's talking to the waitress about his love problems and she says maybe the girl he's looking for is someone he sees everyday. Then he's at work and thinks that it might be the girl in the elevator that he works with. Then at the end, it's actually the waitrtess. I haven't heard this song in a long time and I was wondering what it's called.
