what was their impact on English society? what were they trying to accomplish by upsetting the status quo?

and why would they sign on to major labels, if they weren't about fame or money? i thought that was 'punk rock' was all about.

For years this guy has made money flashing expensive goods and money and implicitly supporting a lifestyle that values consumerism, individuality and sometimes violence. And now he's saying "hey, look, not everybody has drinking water...".

Doesn't anybody else see a contradiction here??? It's precisely because of indulgent capitalists like HIM that such inequality exist like that in the world.

when you out,say at a nightclub, or shopping or having a beer or whatever you peps do you hear that song,and time stands still, tears well up,memories come flooding back and you wanna cry? wot is it? id love to know, my song is kelly and ozzy osbourne "changes" it makes me think of my little gal and her daddy my fella,and "seasons in the sun" makes me think oh my late daddy,anyway you.......................
