the artist was slurring so much that you really cant identify the words, but there was so much emotion in his voice that made it a great song. The guy musta been on drugs when he sang it. Its from the early 90's (i think). they play it on rock stations all the time. no, its not bob dylan.

I really want to do something in the music industry (behind the scenes...not producing, but more along the lines of promoting or something) and I'll love working in it no matter what...but I'm not going to lie. I really want to make a lot of money while doing something I enjoy. What positions, other than like President or owner of a label, can make a lot of money while you're young? Or do you just have to struggle forever, and then when you're 50 make the big bucks?

I'm trying to find out who wrote the lyrics to 'I Believe In You' sung by Il Divo and Celine Dion. Search engines aren't showing me anything useful at all. =(

While it true that American Rock and Roll has it's roots deeply in black blues and spiritual music, you might be surprised to learn that the first real rap music written and recorded in this country came from a young white man from Hibbing, Minnesota.

Don't believe me? Try listening to songs like 'Subterranean Homesick Blues.'

He didn't call it rap back in the early 60s, of course. He called these songs 'talking songs.'

You agree or not?

Let's see your idea of good music!!!
It doesn't have to be a really popular song, it doesn't even have to be recent.

Definition, Bands, Followers? I have not been to a show in about 6 years, I'm a little out of the loop. and is bright eyes emo in particular?

I seriously do not get this whole "emo" thing. From what I've been told, it's a division of punk where the lyrics tend to get a tad bit more emotional. But it seems like everyone hates emo. What's wrong with a little bit of "emo" if they don't depress people?

Also, a lot of people are calling Green Day "emo". What's with that? I've always known them to be punk. They haven't changed that much lyrically, they're still talking about the same stuff they used to, just with a bit more depth.
