I'm starting to get a little frustrated with all the director's cuts and special editions at the DVD store. I also don't like it when directors go back years later and make changes (i.e. Spielberg with ET and Lucas with the Star Wars movies). I know it is about making more money, but I feel protective of the movies I fell in love with as a kid. What do you think?

I went to a movie last week (not sure which) and for 15 min (this was even beofre any previews started) we had nothing but tv comericals.. Car comericals, drink comericials.
Then came about 6 min of previews. and finally the movie.

Why does hollywood think we want to watch all these damn comericals? if we wanted to watch comericals we could turn on the tv just as easy.

It seems like Luke would need a long time to train with Yoda so that he could be a Jedi. In Empire Strikes Back, it seems that he is only there for a day or two though.

I am fascinated by the real story behind this, and there are great actors featured in this film. I can handle some mild violence, and somehow I sat through Kill Bill Vol. 1, but i just want to be forewarned if there will be "Saw' or "Hostel" like violence in depictions of the murder. Please advise!

I think it's beautiful. Why do people not like sex scenes and topless scenes. It's not porn, its art. Are people mad because they themselves do not look like them? I can understand not wanting your kid to see it( even though they find ways to see it anyway and if it's a female, she'll more than likely have a more pomiscuous sex life than the boy). But don't people appreciate the human body and sexuality explored through a cinematic masterpiece. I love it. Porn is stupid. Movies are awesome.

I actually bought and read the 911 Commision Report and found that the movie followed it very well. I was surprised at how good it was and I hope they offer it on DVD.
What do you think?
