I think it's beautiful. Why do people not like sex scenes and topless scenes. It's not porn, its art. Are people mad because they themselves do not look like them? I can understand not wanting your kid to see it( even though they find ways to see it anyway and if it's a female, she'll more than likely have a more pomiscuous sex life than the boy). But don't people appreciate the human body and sexuality explored through a cinematic masterpiece. I love it. Porn is stupid. Movies are awesome.

i think is good, but talking about art there is a lot more a movie can give you for your art hunger satisfaction, part is because of the stupid horny college party boys movies where nudity and bad scripts take care of some people judgment. If you watch Anchorman there is a scene of Nich Cage having sex, i was watching it with my whole family, this scene came out of nowhere just like that, even when the movie was a "comedy" it was not funny at all, when and what are the circumstances that make a nude in movies an expression of art?do not get me wrong, talking as a father you have to influence the best for your growing kids, later on they will make their minds and own decisions, being promiscuous or not is up to them, and as a amateur movie critic nudity is the last thing i look in a movie to give a comment about it.

I think people are more "offended" by spelling errors.
Just kidding.

I think sometimes nudity in movies is unnecessary to the plot. I believe that directors sometimes add the scenes for drawing in more of an audience, rather than art.

Look at movies like "Old School" or any of the "Van Wilder" collections--that nudity is not art. However, in Titanic there was a beautiful nude scene that captured the moment.

I think that depending on what type of movie it is, makes one appreciate the art, or the frivolity of having nudity in a film.

H.L.Mencken wrote, "A Puritan is someone who has a haunting fear that someone somewhere may be happy". That is much of the reason. My oldest sister is a nutty Christian. If I watch a DVD that has some nudity, she preaches a sermon. My kid sister allows her three kids aged 7 to 16 to watch such movies however. Some religions seek totalitarian control over everyone. They must approve of every action and thought. Sex is a powerful urge, but one isn't allowed to indulge it without a priest having a ceremony and collecting a fee. I tell priests and anyone brainwashed by them that they cannot control what movies I watch or what consenting ladies and I choose to do. I am an artist, and my favorite subject is humans, portraits and figures, clothed and nude. I do enjoy looking at a great body nude...in person, in movies or in photos.

I agree the body is beautiful no matter what size you are or what you like or dislike. The problem is really only in the U.S. when you go to other countries they are not as uptight as we are here. I mean really do I want my children seeing all these naked people on t.v. no but that's my job as a parent to over see what my kids are watching and I feel like in todays world too many parents rely on sensors to do the job for them. I enjoy some nudity even though I will say that it is mostly women we see nude ( I'd like to see more men) it is art in many ways and we need the sensors to travel the world and see what other places consider normal movie watching.

I am not offended just shocked. When I was younger my mouth dropped when the woman exposed her breasts. I think parents want to keep their kids innocent until atleast 17. If all little kids saw the things I saw when I was younger they would be more than curious they would want to go out and see what sex is like. As I got older I learned to appreciate some movies with tasteful nudity though not obvious "teen" movies that just throw in the breast shots because they want to attract young boys and men.

Some people fail to understand that if they find certain content offensive in movies, they don't have to see the movie, or that they are the ones responsible for the care and discipline of their children, and preventing their own children from seeing content that may be offensive.

In this information age, and with the current ratings of movies, television programs and even video games, it should be fairly easy for people to take responsibility for what they would like to see and what they might view as offensive. There is plenty of information available on what ages a program is appropriate for and what content is included.

Unfortunately, many feel that because this content is offensive to them, they want it to be excluded completely, rather than making their own educated decisions on what to watch or not to watch.

interesting point, but which is the lesser of two evils? In Swordfish, Halle berry got paid 500k just for a 5 second topless scene. This was not art, it was for pervs...now her scenes in 007 were just as if not more sexy than that but did not need to show her body. You can be sexy, provacative, and artsy without selling yourself short. In judging something for its artistic value over its hint at perversion, i go with the arts!!

I think that people are just too conservative... They were raised in a way that nudity and sex is supposed to be behind 4 walls, where noone can see it, not that it should be displayed.. which in my opinion is very stupid. Unfortunately people still have this idea of Sex and nudity.. maybe it is also a matter of privace...i suppose

I think people are offended because of two reasons:

The big-screen movies nowadays are plot
less, and to see nudity and sex is just an even more turn off!

Then of course everyone is different and has their own beliefs about things, so that's why, I think!

well, everyone has a different set of morals. if they don't want to see nudity in a movie, then i would suggest that they don't watch the movie. on the other hand i do not agree with your statement about girls. i don't think that whether or not a girl watches movies with nudity in them, it will determine how promiscuous they are. that is ridiculous.
