there is one other option... usualy not as expesive.

Some game stores and movie stores have a machine. you might have to wait a few days depending on where the machine is vs the store.

Usualy costs 3 dollars a disc. They remove the plastic cover (where the scratches are) and put a new one on it.

there are cleaners out there. go to either a radio shack, best buy, circuit city, wal mart. look around and ask in the store. i know there is a device that looks like a wheel some kind of a cd doctor or disk doctor.

dish washer soap works, if you gonna spend money in a dvd buffer machine, you may just buy a new dvd.meanwhile until it does not work anymore try washing it.
