With the invention of television, movie houses had to find a way to continue to compete with the experience of watching programs at home. This is what gave birth to the widescreen format (or CinemaScope) in an effort to offer a distinct experience different from that of at home viewing.

Now that home theaters, digital downloads, online streaming movies, and digital surround sound systems are more common, how will movie distribution be impacted?

The prices of the movie tickets continue to rise, will theater chains remain the preferred method of movie viewing? How will theaters continue to survive? What will be the next widescreen?

And the very end of the "mega-happy ending", Wayne and Garth say, "Fishnet!" and pretend that they are getting caught by a fishing hook. What does that mean?! For those who wish to answer my question, thank you! :)

I want to become a video/film editor, and I've read its good to get certified in Avid or FCP, but the courses that teach them are so expensive. I'm in community college, and will barley be able to afford transferring to a film school or other 4 year university. I also do not even own Avid or FCP or a computer that can run them efficiently, so how the heck do people pay for all this?

I saw this scary movie with my older brother like 24 years ago (I said it was old) and the only thing we both remeber is a little puppet-like creature resembling a little cannibal poking a person with a spear. We both remember that same scene because it was really scary, and now we are both trying to find out what movie this scene came from so any help is greatly appreciated. It isn't any of the puppet masters in case you thought it might be.
Only serious answers please
Thanks!

I've never done this weird question thing before so I thought I'd try it and I've been wondering what I like better..the movie The Craft or the new movie The Covenant. I love Fairuza Balk in The Craft but The Covenant has amazing effects and all that. Sooo..if you've seen both give your opinion.

Tell me your thoughts on the movie (not whether it was good or bad, just what you think the movie was meant to portray). Do you think it's leaving it completely open for a sequel?
