Nothing in the house. Bring it up to Game Frenzy. Associated with Hollywood Video. They will put it in a disc buffer. Takes 5 or 10 minutes. Works great! Whenever we get DVDs from the library that are so scratched up or dirty we take it there. My son has a member card there for disc cleaning, I don't know how much that costs but it is good for a whole year. You don't pay anything for the individual cleanings.

Try this It's worked for most of the dvd's and cd's I've tried it on. Get some tooth Paste, not gel, paste then put some on your index finger and holding the disc down side up begin wiping the paste gently from the center out. Rub it that way until the entire play side is covered, then wash it off with warm not hot water and gently dry it with a lint free cloth. I use a clean white t-shirt. This should take care of most of your discs.

Scratched where. If you scratch the clear layer (the bottom), then that is repairable through a cleaning device you have to either buy or that someone has...household appliances or normal shopping items dont work. They work by removing an entire layer of the bottom part of the CD.

If the top is scratched such that u see through from the top, then there is no hope.

Yes you can. Look for someone that has a machine to polish it for you, because the real DVD is between the plastic layer and it's not damaged.
