Tell me your thoughts on the movie (not whether it was good or bad, just what you think the movie was meant to portray). Do you think it's leaving it completely open for a sequel?

Sharon/Dark Alessa and Rose are trapped in an alternate reality, because Sharon is not human. She is a combination of both of the other selves that Alessa created when she was incapacitated in the hospital. Rose is also not really in the clear, because she allowed Dark Alessa to possess her body and use it to get into the church. They are not, as many will try to tell you, dead from the car accident. Silent Hill games usually involve a living person who is stuck in a place that keeps switching from reality to an alternate dark reality. The walls run with blood and crumble, everything gets dark and decayed, and so on. It is this alternating back and forth that makes it scary. As long as whatever demon is controlling things is in control, the characters remain stuck in the world that demon creates. In the case of Silent Hill - the Movie, it is Alessa.

I have played all of the Silent Hill games, and I think the movie did a fantastic job of capturing the feel of the games, especially Silent Hill 3. It's open for a sequel, because someone is going to have to go back to Silent Hill (at the husband's insistence, and probably a rumpled cop in an overcoat), and try to get in contact with them.

I'm not sure I even got what that movie was suppose to represent to us. I guess it was to let people know there are consequences to judging people unfairly. And of course that mom is God in the eyes of a child. What I felt about the end of the movie was that the other girl was still in the womens child and she didn't let her leave that place alive. Of course that little scene where they were shown at their house in black and white instead of colar left the door open for the sequel.

The mother and daughter were finally allowed out of limbo. There could be a sequel but it would not be the same two leads. The movie WAS a good scary movie but I don't see it winning any awards.

well my brother and i have differing opinions on what happened the only part we agree on is that its an parallel dimension. i think it leaves it open because how low can the mom (i cant remember her name at the moment) live without other people in her life. my question is where is the "good" daughter.

i think what went on in the movie was it was the girl who died in the fires spirit making the other spirits pay for there stupidity. what do you think.

i love lisas answer its like my brothers about the video game.
