Well, you can risk the chance of being kicked out. Kinda reminds me of a story when I worked the box office.

This chick comes up and wants to buy tickets for a Rated R movie.. she was probably fifteen. I thought I would be cool and let them through and told them the total since she was buying two tickets. She replied to me "umm you charged me for an adult ticket and I should be charged a childs ticket". So I responded to her "well looks like you can't watch this movie then since you are not old enough for an adult ticket"

It was so hilarious to see that deer in the headlights look. Anyway, I think you guys should be fine but make sure you don't pull some dumb move like the kid I mentioned in that story.

Thank you and enjoy the show.

As far as I know, all it says is that the teenager be with someone of age, and not necessarily with his or her parents.
However, it would be a good idea to get their permission first anyway, just in case. I don't think a note would work, because after all, anyone could write a note and sign it Mr. or Mrs. whatever

unless these 16 year olds look 12 they wont care. if they look 17 they shouldnt card them.

however if they do get carded i dont beleive theyll be allowed to entire. im not sure on this but i dont think they allow anyone under 17 into an R rated movie regardless of adult supervision. i think thats part of the "restricted" rating.

i think you have to be at least 21 to buy tickets for someone under 17. I was in a similar situation and that's what i was told by the employees of AMC in Tx.

yes you have to be 17 to see r rated movies by your self and 18 to buy tickets for other people that are minors.
