Because movies are rad. Anything is possible on celluloid. That can't be said of reality.

I have been watching movies since I was a small child. My parents took me to a movie during WW2 I remember some of it . The movie was black and white. A war movie with us soldiers in a Japanese prison camp. It depicted the bad things the Japanese soldiers did to the prisoners of war. I still remember that movie. A good movie is like a good book. I must say I have also been to live theater and I prefer a good movie. Movies can depict with the camera things that are impossible for a live stage play. I have made some movies myself. Short movies some , of the documentary type. Yes I like movies.

because with the simple press of the Play button you can be anyone you want. You can be in any kind of situation you ever wanted to be in without actually having to experience it. Its a form of escape that people enjoy.

its way of being distracted. you can get lost in them especially if they are good. it is a way to pass time. if you dont feel like talking to someone u can pretend you are interested in the movie. it gives you a reason to eat popcorn
