I have a question about the briefcase. What was in it?

Elsewhere, I have read interesting theories. Of course, a couple of ideas are not extraordinary ones. I was told that there was money in the case. Another theory was that it was gold.

But an interesting one was the idea that it was Marsellus Wallace's soul inside the briefcase. There is an intriguing story that goes along with it...something about Marsellus had sold his soul to the devil, but then wanted it back...which explains why his 'avenging angels' (Samuel L. and Travolta) went to slay the imps in that apartment, who were trying to keep Marsellus' soul from being reacquired.

What do you think?

i think his career has gotten better and better, ever since getting a breakthrough to do Pee Wee and going on with bigger projects such as Beetlejuice, Batman, and Edward Scissorhands

many would say his movies contain gothic material such as Batman Returns but i would say its a style not use much today and it truly is a unique way.

Please give specific opinion and reasonings behind them. Are you a purist? Do you prefer word for word, artisitc license, modern interpretation? What are some of you favorite and least favorite adaptations (i.e. 2006 version of Pride & Prejudice was great because..., etc.)? What is your background (i.e. student, teacher, average Joe, etc.)? (This is for a research paper, detailed answers very appreciated and links to information even more appreciated. Thank you.)

Reading EW mag., I keep track of movies I think I might like. Not the usual mainstream. Here are three that seemed interesting (to me):

Hard Candy, Brick, Dog Soldiers.

If you've seen any of them, give me an opinion.
