Black Hawk Down. I got to meet Jeff Struecker at a Young Business Leaders meeting last year. His story was incredible. He shared his faith and how he was able to help those around him. Here's a link:http://www.ybl.org/events.asp?action=form&formID=1436&recordID=84638
You can download his PDF file
I hope you find it as moving as I did.

Hmmm . . . first I have to say that I think that there is a difference between a war movie, and a movie about war. A war movie is any old story told in front of the back drop of a war (like Saving Private Ryan) But a movie about war is an examination and a commentary about war itself.
The best movies about war that I've seen include:
Apocalypse Now
The Thin Red Line
Full Metal Jacket
oddly enough, I didn't like Platoon that much.

Tora, Tora, Tora is pretty close to the top of my list. I also liked Midway, In Harms Way, Sands of Iwo Jima, Saving Private Ryan, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, Go Tell the Spartans (maybe the best Vietnam story), The Longest Day, Patton

Saving Private Ryan is the best I've seen. Also check out Band of Brothers, the HBO mini series.

Black Hawk Down was pretty cool.
Platoon, apocaylypse now, were some favorites too.
Hey, does World Trade Center count as a war movie? I haven't seen it yet, though.
