I just saw this movie this weekend and I really liked it. Is there any one else out there who actually liked this movie?

They loved each other, they kept in touch the problem was the fear Ennis had of people finding out. They kept that relationship going for over 20 yrs and that means there was something true there.

you would have to have a pretty good open mind to like this movie....its boring at first but it's like that for a dramatic reason...to show the simplistic lifestyle of people and to reflect the conservative nature of the environment which in turn tells the audience of the attitudes of the people i.e. that they are religious, they are conservative towards family values, and a strict man with woman only rule.

overall I didn't like the part where one of them was killed but there was a double indirect version of how he died....i would have paid to see more nudity...they were hot and alot more kissing though

I liked the movie. There are so many negative portrayals of gays in the media, it's nice to see a love story that involves gay men. Throughout time, there have always been homosexual men and women. When you look at the movies made in the last 50 or so years, rarely is there a story such as this. We all know it happens--gay men and women do fall in love and have relationships just like straight people. I found it refreshing that this movie showed us that. It was a sad ending though.

Thought it was fantastic, The acting was on the part of the 5 main characters. The 5th being Linda Cardellini, as the girl, Heath Ledger meets in the bar after his divorce. The music & scenery were overwhelming. Even Jack's parents could not have been more believable.I would classify it as a very tragic love story. Are you aware that Heath Ledger & Michelle Williams Have been together since and have a daughter , Matilda, in honour of Heath's home, Australia.

I loved the movie but-> everyone said that after you watch the movie it won't really be about two gay cowboys but it will be a love story. I did feel it was a love story and a very good one but it was about two gay cowboys. A few days after seeing the movie I saw a guy in wranglers, boots and a cowboy hat, even though he was with a girl (holding hands) he looked gay to me. I had a giggle. But over all I think it deserved every award it got and I think it also said allot to those of who are straight. Whether you are in love with a person of the opposite sex or the same, it is still love.

you mean they were gay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no it was a good movie, people are bashing it because they can see beyond the gayness and see the true love they had, the forbidden love, Think about it, if a movie about their love is so bashed and hated then how could two real lovers be free to express their love for each other.

I do think the the "tent" scene was disturbing, a little graphic, a little shocking

but hey the movie was cool. a true love story

I didn't, but it was not because of the whole "Gay Thing", but to me the movie didn't have a good plot line. I guess it would have been better if Heath Ledger's character was not so needy. It made me mad the way he would get upset with Jake's character, then again I guess Heath took on the female role in the relationship.

I loved it!!!!! If someone could look past the fact that the two were involved in a gay relationship they could see that regardless of the gender of the characters it is still a fabulous love story. I cried at the end for sure! It was definatly a great love story!

Easily the best movie that came out last year (gay pun intended). TONNES better than Crash. In my opinion, any of the other films nominated for the best picture Oscar would have been a more suitable choice over Crash.

I LOVED it... While I am not homophobic - I didn't exactly have any interest in seeing a gay-love story! But the film was a classic love story! I never expected such a great film! Truly incredible!

i saw a while back and i really liked it...i don't understand people who diss it without even seeing it (to me, it's homophobia)...my favorite part was at the end when ennis finds his shirt in jack's closet...love is love regardless of who it is...
