I'm surprised that people often complain about Tom Cruise's acting talents, his portrayal in Magnolio was superb and won him a well deserved Oscar nomination and I quite liked him in Eyes Wide Shut, too, even if he did have to play a somewhat subdued character. Vanillia Sky was very good, too.

Does his international superstar status make him a target for such baseless claims?

I saw this movie a long time ago so my memory is a little sketchy. It was about three guys in (I think) Africa who were captured by a canabalistic tribe. Two guys end up getting killed and the third gets away for a big chase scene. I saw it in the mid 70's and it was in color so I'm guessing it was probably made a few years before. Not much to go on I know but I'd appreciate any ideas.

i was really turned off by the actor when he 1) pushed HP when he thought HP had put his name in the Goblet and 2) his accent varied from British to American..... it really ruined the movie for me

Can you guys imagine with the advent of digitial photography and amazing computer generated graphics, we could get a far more realistic looking Great White shark instead of that ridiciously looking Bruce? Perhaps it would be produced in more dramatic way in the fashion of first person viewpoint and third person viewpoint, thickening the suspense in the tradition of Alfred Hitchcock.
