Who has time for movies?

2006-07-27 08:12:13 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

Nope. I used to go once or twice a month. Now I'd rather wait the 16 weeks for the DVD release. There are some movies I make a point to see in the theatre. Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire, Pirates of the Carribean Dead Man's Chest & Barnyard will be the only ones this summer in the theatre.

Where I live, the price at CinemaStar is $9 for regular price; matinees before 5pm is $7; Kids & Seniors $6.50.

Krikorian is Early Bird First showing only Mon-Fri, except holidays is $6.75. Bargain Matinee before 6pm is $7.75. Regular price is $9.75, Kids under 12 $6.75, Seniors 60+ & Active Military with ID $7.50, Students with ID $8.

Those are the 2 closest theatres. There are 2 AMC's nearby but I couldn't find prices online. I'm sure it's higher there. It doesn't help living in a major metropolian area for movie stats either. Those who get the $2 or $1 shows are lucky.

I do. I love the movie experience. Especially in the summer. If you go to the Matinee, you can get a ticket, popcorn, candy and a soda for less then $12. There are worse (and more expensive) things I could be doing besides sitting in an airconditioning theatre, munchin' on popcorn and guzzling some cola! :)

Yeah, but I have split days off. So on my Wednesday, I get the early matinee price. Then when I'm done, just pop into another movie quietly. Shhhh, don't tell anyone, this has to be kept between you and me and the millions of yahoos.

The only time I'll hit a movie is if it's something truly epic that has to be seen on the big screen. Other than that, it's much better just to wait for it to come out on dvd.

Yes, but it has to be a movie that I HAVE to see in the theater or I won't go. Unfortunately for my bank account, TOO MANY movies qualify for a theater MUST-SEE! At least, in my opinion.
