What? Are you serious? That is the whole essense of the game - Dungeons and Dragons. Depending on your campaign there may be as many as 50 different type of dragons. They are supposed to be a unique occurance and your "dungeon master" should "play" them properly.

Some of the different types are:
Chromatic - colors - Red, Blue, Black, etc.
Metal - bronze silver, etc
Elemental - cloud and such
Asian

Of course there are dragons in Dungeons and Dragons. If there wasn't it just be called "Dungeons". That's like asking if there are dragons in Dragonlance novels, which are published by the same company, Wizards of the Coast (formerly TSR).

purely in the comparable way a action picture could nicely be a "cult action picture" or a teach (like famous person Trek) could nicely be called a "cult teach." there is no person controlling people as they play Dungeons & Dragons. there is not any chief or heirarchy. And whilst i won't be in a position of vouch for on line variations, people do no longer even "act out" the action, regardless of what you will sometimes see in video clips--the action is finished with the aid of rolling cube and comparing numbers with elementary addition and subtraction.

Yes they vary from Red fire breahters to blue lightning breather. Some are gold, silver and green. There is only one Platinum Dragon and there is one with multiple heads and is a leader in hell named Tiamat.
