When my children were little I had a rule that we did not leave the movie theater until all the credits were over. I told them "All those people worked hard to make that movie so the least you can do is sit there and read their names". :-) We would read the names, see if we could find our last name, laugh at funny ones, etc. The REAL REASON I did this was I did not want to navigate through a crowded theater with two small children and then fight the traffic in the parking lot, but it became a habit.
Yesterday, my adult son and I went to see X-Men. As soon as the credits started to roll everyone got up and left, but we sat there from habit like when he was little. After the credits were all over... all of a sudden the movie started again WITH A SURPRISE (to us) ENDING. Then the lights came on and we were the only ones in the theater. I wondered how many other people sat there and found out what was on after the credits were over?
