I completely understand where you're coming from but some movies....when you watch them now, they look really cheesy compared to when you may have first watched them. Some movies lacked the technology and special effects that we have today and this makes the movie better in most cases. At the same time, there are some movies that you just do not touch, like scarface for example.

It is like putting on a play over and over again, just giving us different actors and a some modern relevance... I think the actors in both Omens were great, though Julia was little young. Personally I think Jennifer Connelly would have been perfect.

I know. The Manchurian Candidate, Flight of the Phoenix, and The Omen have done no honor to their predecessors. But that's Hollywood. At least the Nobel Prize has nothing to do with them.

I don't see what's wrong with movie remakes, it's the way of telling something that counts, not the story itself, think of how Shakespeare did tell about every kind of story possible, already. In the end, there's only 10 or so stories to tell.

I personally hate all these movie remakes that seem to be coming out lately! They have been done once! Why do them again!? It does seem like they are running out of ideas! Sad!!!

Mostly they remake movies, to add better special effects, and better acting/storyline, but most don't do well in theaters, or are just not good.
