I saw a movie on tv a long time ago about a little boy who was really quiet but good at video games. I think he ran away with some other people (siblings?) and went to a competition. There was a new Mario game out and they raced to see who would finish first. Wow, sounds like a lame storyline, but I've always wondered what it was!

Had Fred Savage in it... I saw it a long time ago.
Nintendo was acutally done with Super Mario Bros after #2 came out. Then they did a demo #3 for the movie and decided to release it and continue the line.

It's called "The Wizard"(1989) and it starred a young Fred Savage. The Mario game was 'Super Mario Bros 3'
