Why do "Cars" have their eyes in the windshield instead of the headlights?

Question

In the new, animated movie "Cars" (I haven't seen it but saw a trailer for it), why did they put the eyes in the windshield instead of using the headlights? When most people look at the front of a car, they see the headlights as eyes and the grill as the mouth. It just seems a little strange to me to have eyes in the windshield, even though I guess it was easier to make them move and be more expressive. Opinions? Thoughts?

i've never thought of that but your right u think they would of put the head lights as the eyes! but oh well they wanted to be diff i guess!! well now that i think of it all my son's toys that are cars that have faces they all have the eyes on the windshild too! he's got a whole set of these lil cars i like them better then dinky cars they look cute!! :)

Dunno. But i was watching Gene Shalit's review yesterday and I thought it was funny 'cuz they had a behind-the-scenes kind of thing where they were in the recording studio with the vioce actors and Owen Wilson said something about how Bonnie Hunt's Porche character had a pinstripe tatoo. Hunt was really getting into it. She actually reached for her buttwhile she was talking into the mic!!! LOL

they made the car's eyes in the windshield because they want to emphasize the eyes.if they've putted it in the headlights then the windshield would be their forehead and that wouldn't look much appealing.
