I know he died in the movie played by Nicholson, but as far as the comics go and the actual issues... Does anyone remember reading anything saying that the vat that he fell into somehow gave him extra long life or made him impervious to pain ?

though I like the new one and the first one is the best superhero movie ever.
the problem to me is that for such an all powerfull character its difficult to find a physical adversary.so it always seems to be a battle of the wits with lex.
the second movie is kickass with great villains and fights,but where do you go after that.
I remember liking 4 but I'm sure I wouldn't if I saw it now.
it always seems as though the situation is the villain and his goal is to fix it.all fine but where's the punching and fighting and all the things possible only in this genre. he has powerful villains to fight in the comics doesn't he? why doen't he fight some giant robots ala sky captain or anything?
Is his greatest weakness in storytelling his limitless power?

Is it really worth buying? Is it going have better picture then the orginal DVDs like what the platinum i guess was suppose to do....is this new set coming out really worth the 200-250 dollar price tag? does anyone know any specifics on it? like how many dvds you'll get and some of the features are?
