I'm gonna have to go with Batman. Superman gets the crap beat out him by freakin rock. Come on. Spiderman gets his powers from a spider. Loser. Batman on the other hand is far more complex and interesting. There is a bit more depth in the movies, comics, and cartoons. Lets not forget that actors who play Superman are cursed. So... after weighing the pros and cons I have no other choice but to pick the dark knight. Of course if threw Nightwing in there it would be a no contest pick of Dick Grayson. No superhero can touch him.

Please, Batman without a doubt. Think about. He's rich. He has a new lady in every episode, and he has a vehicle for every occasion. Spiderman doesn't even have full time job and poor Superman, I think he may be homeless. They didn't even show his crib in Superman returns and to make matters worse, he didn't throw a single punch in the entire movie. Therefore, Batman is da man. Peace.

Kudos Michael L. I think you sumed up nicely. Out of the 3, Spider-Man is the best. You can relate to him more. Superman...comes from another planet and his powers were always with him. I don't think he truely knows the suffering of man. Batman...yes he did lose his parents. But he is also rich and doesn't have to worry about anything save for fighting crime. Spider-Man...didn't always have his powers. He was a nerd, got picked on in school, turned down on dates, had a bully pick on him (Flash Thompson), etc. Then he got his powers and didn't immediately use them for good. He used them for personal gain and got cocky which cost him someone he loved dearly. It was from this that he truely knew what "with great power comes great responsiblity" meant. Also, the villians Spidey fights are more creative. Michael L mentioned a couple, and Venom is by far my favorite but I do like how they made some of the other bad guys. Like the Lizard which is actually Peter's friend, Curt Connors. Imagine having to fight a friend that you have high respect for and that is trying to kill you. And you can't kill him cause you don't want to hurt your friend. The Green Goblin--that's Peter's best friend's dad. Which also knows the secret identity of Spider-Man. Thus making him a very deadly foe, one that will attack the loved ones of Peter just to get to him. And there are others that just want to cause havok which Spidey has to stop. Also, there are times when Peter has to choose to between saving his family or total strangers admist all this confusion. So, I believe Spidey is better not only out of the three, but any comic superhero.

I think it's gotta be spider-man. No, he doesn't have the strength, speed, or the ability to fly like superman, and he doesn't have all of batman's cool toys, but he's gotta be the most interesting out of the three of them. Peter Parker(spider-man's alter ego) is just a normal guy who has to put up with normal everyday stuf like work and what not.
He's got a better sense of humor, sure you don't need to be witty to take down bad guys, but it doesn't hurt.
His origin is more interesting, maybe not the origin of his powers, but his motivation is tragic. and yes, I know, batman lost his parents too, but he wasn't directly responsible for their deaths. Spider-man played an integral part in the death of his uncle ben, and so his quest for justice is a little more personal.
Spider-man has a better rougue's gallery too, let's face it, besides Lex Luthor and doomsday, superman's opposition has been laughable at best, and batman's got some of the corniest villains in all of comics. Now, Spider-man's got real villains to contend with. Take norman osborn, the green goblin, Here's a guy who has unlimited resources, mystical powers, an arsenal of pumpkin bombs and bat drones, not to mention the fact that he's a sociopath with no regard for human life, and he's killed the love of spider-man's youth. Oh yeah, and he never seems to die.
If that isn't enough for you, you've got venom, the combination of two beings that absolutely hate spider-man, He's got all of spider-man's powers, is immune to his spider sense, and knows his secret identity. Spider-man's been hunted, both by a misguided vigilante who mistook him for a mob henchman, and by a crazed wild game hunter who wanted him stuffed and hung above his mantle. He's also had to deal with a sensationalistic editor(his boss, by the way) with a personal vendetta against him.
When you add that all up, there's just no way you could say that superman or batman are better than spiderman.
