The bad things
he is alot younger than me
she had a baby girl with him while we were together

The good things
He has told me all about this other girl
He says he loves me
We seem to talk about everything, especially this other woman

facts
been together for 1 1/2 years
he sees her on the weekends, to see his baby
he got married to her last week so that she could fix his papers ( illegal alien )
i dont know what to do

After one previous question on here and a few days of internet research, I have decided that I want to buy a more expensive first guitar - i'll feel more motivated to learn than if I had cheap one. And besides, a good guitar is for life right?!
I've narrowed down my preferences to either purchasing a Gibson Les Paul or an Fender American Stratocaster. A Les Paul is my very first choice - i've always loved the look of this guitar. I'm also a big Aerosmith fan, and I see Joe Perry playing these all the time. But is a Fender easier to play/learn on? What would you suggest?
Also, are there any particular Gibson or Fender models you can recommend? Keep in mind I don't want to spend over £1,300 (still a lot!)
