I borrowed his trailer (not the one he lives in) to haul some lumber I had sawed to dry it and use in my new house. I was gonna run down to the new house at lunch and start loading the lumber and finish it in the morning.
Since I was in a huge hurry, I ran to the closest convenience store and got a pack of nabs, some honey roasted peanuts and a coke (which was hot) for lunch and started the 10 mile trip to the house. I didn't make it 3 miles down the road when one of the trailer tires blew out and so I ended up pulling over and changing it on the side of the road. By the time I got it changed and took the trailer to the house, my lunch hour was pretty well shot to hell.
So, for the pain and suffering of the embarrassment from changing a tire on the side of the road and having had what we'll call a crappy lunch and wasting my entire lunch hour because of his faulty tire, what should I stick him for? If he is content to settle out of court, what kind of break is that worth?
