I love onions. Slice of onion with salt. Cream cheese and raw onion on rye bread. Yum.

Crissy, I live in Up-State NY. I've heard if you're Lucky enough to live in Georgia when Vadalia Onions are first harvested You can eat-em like apples. When they are shipped north in May they tend to get a little stronger tasting each day. I don't give a hoot they are my favorite onions. I chew on them every year when they first arrive.
I'm very Lucky as we can get Hoffman Hot Dogs Reds or Whites made in Syracuse NY. They are available in our local Wegmans Stores. I use Hoffman's German Mustard and tons of chopped Vadalia Onions. Hamburgers are served in our house with big slices of the same onions.
Todd Bodine's nick name is Onion because he shaves his head and has very little hair any way.

No. I hate it when you get large lumps of raw onion in pasta salad etc. They hide the taste of everything else.
However, this is preferable to the situation in the office along the corridor where one of the people eats raw garlic. Not a good way to win friends and influence people, unless the building ever gets attacked by vampires.

I think eating raw onions is good for you. I think it's supposed to keep the germs away (well at least people will stay away due to the strong odour on your breath!). But personally I don't like raw onions. They are too strong. Cooked are much better.

Yeah, I love eating a big crunchy onion with a chunk of strong cheddar and sometimes a crusty roll or two.

Yes I do, and grilled as well, not to mention fried. I guess I'm an Onion Aficionado, like you, but I prefer mine on hot dogs, sausages, and burgers, when they are raw.
