Nickelback rockstar was my favorite song like 2 or three years ago, but it was played very rarely one the radio. and if you typed it in on the internet nothing came up. Now all of sudden this august it just becomes huge, and everyone was saying it was nickelbacks "newest" song. but i thought it was a really old song. Now i cant go a day without hering it on the radio. so i was wondering if anyone new why suddenly it just became huge

Am I the only person who thinks bands such as: 30seconds to mars, greenday, all american rejects, MCR, AFI, Blink 182, System of a down and every other "PUNK" band out there sounds 90% the same? I mean give me a break, you buy a CD, pop it in and the first track is usually okay...cool sound...only to find out the next 10 tracks use the SAME beat for the most part! That same scratchy (I can't turn it up too loud because it sounds like nails on a chalk board) tune? There are a few bands such as breaking benjamin and seether (other than sound like Nirvana) and a few others that actually have a unique sound. For the most part though, you buy an AFI or Collective Soul cd and it's the exact same sound!!! Do all these guys sample each others music or what is the deal?? Can't someone come up with an ORIGINAL sound?
