One day, in line at the company cafeteria, Jack says to Mike behind him, "My elbow hurts like hell. I guess I better see a doctor."

"Listen, you don't have to spend that kind of money, " Mike replies. "There's a diagnostic computer at the drugstore at the corner. Just give it a urine sample and the computer'll tell you what's wrong and what to do about it. It takes ten seconds and costs ten dollars...a hell of a lot cheaper than a doctor."

So Jack deposits a urine sample in a small jar and takes it to the drugstore. He deposits ten dollars, and the computer lights up and asks for the urine sample. He pours the sample into the slot and waits.

Ten seconds later, the computer ejects a printout: You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water and avoid heavy activity. It will improve in two weeks.

That evening while thinking how amazing this new technology was, Jack began wondering if the computer could be fooled. He mixed some tap water, a stool sample from his dog, urine samples from his wife and daughter, and masturbated into the mixture for good measure.

Jack hurries back to the drugstore, eager to check the results. He deposits ten dollars, pours in his concoction, and awaits the results.

The computer prints the following:

1. Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener. 2. Your dog has ringworm. Bathe him with anti-fungal shampoo. 3. Your daughter has a cocaine habit. Get her into rehab. 4. Your wife is pregnant...twin girls. They aren't yours. Get a lawyer. 5. If you don't stop playing with yourself, your elbow will never get better.

me im pretty sure ive had the most oreos ever! and my special talent is showering, lets just say im an amazing shower-rer-im in awe of my showering abilities! 3 ppl have seen me showing- they are still dazed and call me every nite! one said my showering was "effortless beauty", another said "she was profoundly shaken" and "forced to re-examine her life" the third just burst into tears and thanked me for changing her life.....(i dont let guys cuz i dont want them falling for me but i do teach a showering class down at the neighbourhood center..)

Your jacket?.... i have a group of friends when we go to each others house we all take our jackets/coats off, but there is one friend no matter where she goes she will not take her jacket off...so i always say to her when she comes around 'you not stopping long?' because she never takes her jacket off..... do you know anyone who does this?

I've been listening to so much music lately I need something fresh to download, and got an itunes voucher the other day.
I'm into what my friends call 'weird' music, mostly 60's and stuff influenced by that, like the Beta Band, Yo La Tengo and Velvet Underground. Can anyone recommend something new to investigate, preferrably not mainstream 'indie' stuff like the Killers and Razorlight. Cheers!

I've been trying to make an audit of where my wages go and it came to leisure and entertainment. I was shocked to realise that I spend up to 1,500 pounds over the course of a year. That includes everything from AOL, SKY etc down to my newspapers and monthly magazine subscription. I think that's an awful lot of money to be spending on myself. What do you think?
