I've been trying to make an audit of where my wages go and it came to leisure and entertainment. I was shocked to realise that I spend up to 1,500 pounds over the course of a year. That includes everything from AOL, SKY etc down to my newspapers and monthly magazine subscription. I think that's an awful lot of money to be spending on myself. What do you think?

I don't have any children or a partner. Just me and Jet (the cat) and as long as he gets his Whiskas, he's happy.

Well if I was worried about an over spend - I would do what you've done and think right is there any magazines I am board of. 1,500 a year isn't that much per month and you've got to live still if you can cut something out your not so bothered about in exchange for something you really enjoy.

I think that it a good idea that you took into account how much money that you send. But at the end of the day, if you where not able to afford it it you wouldn't have been able think about spending the money on those types of things. I think that if it really bothers you, you should budget yourself and work out your expenditures so that you don't spend too much in the future. No I don't think that you are being extravagant, but then again if you wanna cut down, you would be saving loads of money

£30 per week is not extravagant. You can easily speng that on night out, a visit to the theatre or a concert ticket alone. Ypu deserve some entertainment and what you are spending does not seem excessive.

no way spend more!!!

if you don't already have kids you will realise that when you do the spending of money on yourself becomes non - existent

and further more you are made to feel guilty if you do (God forbid) you spend your hard earned cash on something you like!

Spend my dear, spend like the wind!

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

You sound very hard working, so I don't think £125 a month is a lot to spend on yourself.

You deserve it!!

Look after yourself, and keep treating yourself!

No i don`t think it`s extravagant, you obviously get alot of pleasure from these things. I suppose it is extravagant if you can`t afford it. Don`t beat yourself up over it, enjoy life...

Without going down to the strip club or putting cocaine on your nachos? I would say you need a budget.
