I've been listening to so much music lately I need something fresh to download, and got an itunes voucher the other day.
I'm into what my friends call 'weird' music, mostly 60's and stuff influenced by that, like the Beta Band, Yo La Tengo and Velvet Underground. Can anyone recommend something new to investigate, preferrably not mainstream 'indie' stuff like the Killers and Razorlight. Cheers!

I'm not sure if you'll like them or not, but lately I've been listening to this band called The Audiologues. I found a few of their songs on itunes and I actually like all of them, which is rare for me. It's not "mainstream" music in the sense that it's not well known, but I definitely wouldn't categorize it as "weird" music, either, so you might not like it. It definitely sounds fresh to me, though. I hope this helps.
