good question ! i think we are conditioned by society to say these words otherwise we dont appear as 'nice' & all of us think of ourselves as nice. when you're really happy for someone you dont even have to say these words it just shows in your body language :)

Well I can feel happy for other peoples sucess, particularly if they have gone through a lot to get the success. In some way people in the community want success to happen because they can feel apart of it, involved, and enjoy the moment.
Generally speaking I think it is easier to feel happy for other people to be successful if you yourself feel successful.
But really generally speaking if you think someone is not happy about your success its best to shrug it off and be happy about what it is your happy about. As its not always often you get to be really happy about something, so be happy about what you have in your life.

well you obviously don't! Not a big deal either. Sometime I mean it. Sometime I don't. It depends. If they are super nice people, all good. If they cut out my legs from under me to get the promotion or if they're getting married and I'm still single and best man AGAIN, well, you can guess the rest ..

Yes!!! I like the energy of joyful people.
Call me crazy but I've noticed that when I celebrate someone elses good fortune, it seems to rub off on me in varying degrees. I love it!!

Depends on who it is. If it is someone who made it on their own merit or hard work then absolutely. If it is someone who climbed up on the backs of those they oppressed then not so much.
I prefer people who respect others.

No sorry hun...when people say that its just superficial... people are happy about you for 2 seconds and thats it.. sorry I m not trying to be pessimistic but REALISTIC... have fun & dont think about it... even if they are happy for you, how is that going to change your life?? Be happy for yourself, without thinking if they are feeling happy about you...
