I took my 3 year old to the eye doctor today. She's been complaining for a long time that she couldn't see well, but she's coveted her cousin's glasses for so long that I was sure she just wanted a pair of her own and would get over it. She failed her eye test at school, so we decided to get her checked out ourselves because I've never held much faith in the eye exams that school's give.

She sat in the chair at the eye clinic today, and the doctor pulled a picture up on the overhead of a birthday cake. I could see it clearly and I was standing right next to her.

He said "Sweetie, what is that a picture of.."

She looked at it for a long time before saying.. "A volcano??"

Her eyeglasses prescription is -400.

On top of everything else, now there is something going on with my left pointing finger....I get sharp little pains from time to time...sometimes I even hear a little click. Either my time on Yahoo is the cause or this or ONE more thing has decided to go screwy with my body!! ( Sunshine looks to the heavens for mercy!)

I have been extremely stressed out this week... well today is National Pot Smoking Day, Hitler's Birthday, Columbine Anniversary, Virginia Tech shooting happened this week, Nasa Shooting this afternoon, bomb threats, lock downs and weapons in schools across the country, shootings, increased violence in Iraq, corrupt politicians, celebrities cursing their kids out on the phone, people cutting out eathothers fetuses.... It is all just too much....
Oh I forgot a 90 year old woman was stabbed and Miners dies in Maryland.... Horrible!!

i know, this is a really sad and depressing question, and i'm sorry, but it was just on my mind. when i was a girl scout, we had a troop leader who was 40 and diagnosed with cancer. it was the saddest thing. she had 2 months to live and we made her a quilt and when we gave it to her, she cried. just one of those moments i'll always remember...

Lets say you give your buddy or girlfriend or boyfriend $400 to get you a laptop at a sale he's going to. He comes back and is like, here you go, its a great laptop and you love it, but it was $530. You told dude to spend $400. He's like, you owe me $130. You're like, dude I said spend my $400. That was the deal. You don't have that extra $130. You're a little pissy because it's not what you asked for, its great but its not what you asked for and now you gotta come up with $130. ???
