Yes, he can open the door! It always scares the crap out of me too. I think it annoys my husband when he does it at night because hes the one who has to get up and shut the bedroom door.

My cat chewed a hole in 1 of the bedroom doors , big enough for him to come and go...

Nope, my cat has me trained to that for her...damn little princess! I am sorry to hear your special friend is no longer with you. Been there, had to live with that and it's not easy.
