Constantly complaining about the temperature:

A customer was bothering the waiter in a restaurant. First, he asked that the air conditioning be turned up because he was too hot, then he asked it be turned down cause he was too cold, and so on for about half an hour.
Surprisingly, the waiter was very patient, he walked back and forth and never once got angry. So finally, a second customer asked him why he didn't throw out the pest.
"Oh, I really don't care or mind," said the waiter with a smile. "We don't even have an air conditioner."

Ol' Fred had been a faithful Christian and was in the hospital,
near death. The family called their preacher to stand with them.

As the preacher stood next to the bed, Ol' Fred's condition
appeared to deteriorate and he motioned frantically for something
to write on.

The pastor lovingly handed him a pen and a piece of paper, and
Ol' Fred used his last bit of energy to scribble a note, then
suddenly died.

The preacher thought it best not to look at the note at that
time, so he placed it in his jacket pocket.

At the funeral, as he was finishing the message, he realized that
he was wearing the same jacket that he was wearing when Ol' Fred
died. He said, "You know, Ol' Fred handed me a note just before
he died. I haven't looked at it, but knowing Fred, I'm sure
there's a word of inspiration there for us all."

He opened the note, and read, "Please step to your left -- you're
standing on my oxygen tube!"

i think i heard studio is being replaced by the "black somethings", and they are doing it a week earlier than expected, starting tonight, Feb. 19? what's up with that. studio 60 is one of the best shows out there. it's fun, funny, and "intimate", without being vulgar, and lets you think about things with their different points of view.
I don't understand how they can pull this show and leave shows like the office and earl on. Sorry but both of those shows are insulting, to real office workers and to real "white trash"

In last year's "The Departed", there was a lot of profanity and also some very graphic violence. What I'd like to know is, why does Hollywood these days think that excessive violence and excessive profanity make for a good film?
