I think most of these premium competition lines are a con. The worst ones are the ones where they say you haven't been successful but you've still been charged for the call. I got caught out once and I swore never to phone in any tv programme competitions again.
In my opinion they are all a con and the winners are probably either bogus or friends/relatives of producers/directors etc.
Don't ring them!!!

Probably got nothing to do with Richard & Judy themselves. Its that dodgy channel 4 thats to blame.
its about time the tv people took their broadcasting licence off them. Just look at the Big Brother farce.

I think channels that already make their revenue through advertising should be discouraged from using premium rate lines as a further source of revenue. If they can't make do with what they've got from adverts, they shouldn't be conning us out of our money to make up the difference.

They will deny everything unless someone shows evidence to the contrary. I personally believe for the amount we pay for television (i.e TV licence Sky or cable) no one should ever spend extra money dialling these premium numbers again

There all a con these phone in quizzes, not sure if they knew but then again would they have cared about people wasting their money to up their viewing figures, people like them don't care about the likes of us do they, just their own fat pay cheques.

Well he 'got off' for his shop lifting didn't he?

What can we expect?

Unfortunately, there's people out there who can't work out the numbers on these cons for themselves, and they are the ones who can least afford it, that end up lining the pockets of those daylight robbers.

Oh 'eck, you've got me started now!!

I heard on the news that they weren't aware that a winner had been chosen hence continuing to ask the public to call in.

I agree, I woulod advise all people to stop calling these shows. It would be like telling them to stop using the rip off mobile phones I'm afraid.
