A man is sitting in a pub feeling rather poor. He sees the man next to him pull a wad of £50 notes out of his wallet.
He turns to the rich man and says to him,

The rich man laughs.
The poor man says, "I am willing to bet you all the money you have in your wallet that I can sing a genuine song with a lady's name of your choice in it."

People are always saying things like "people with high self esteem don't care what other people think" and "people with high self esteem project good vibes" and "people with high self esteem go a long way" and "people with high self esteem attract people to them." The list just goes on and on and on.

But have you ever actually met someone who was like this?

I've seen people who tried to look like they didn't care what everyone else thought. They end up looking very insecure and everyone around them starts talking behind their back. In the end they do drugs.

I've seen people who project good vibes. In the end they're too nice, others take advantage of them, and they end up on drugs.

I've seen people who go a long way. They fulfill their dreams, then for a brief time they feel like they're better than everyone else and they're just jerks. Then they get bored and lonely and end up on drugs.

If these things show high self esteem, Kurt Cobain had the highest self esteem of anyone

I never tell a man what to wear when in a relationship, if I got with him the way he looked then why would I change him for. On the other hand they would always complain that I don't dress sexy, that I should wear skirts, that I should wear short shorts but you know what I said to them, "I am dressing for myself not for you". They seemed to take it pretty hard as if they lost control of me but they were never in control of me. I think men still wish women were subservient to them.

One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a classroom. The teacher was going to explain evolution to the children. The teacher asked a little boy: Tommy do you see the tree outside?
TOMMY: Yes.
TEACH: Tommy, do you see the grass outside?
TOM: Yes.
TEACH: Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky.
TOM: Okay. (He returned a few minutes later). Yes, I saw the sky.
TEACH: Did you see God up there?
TOM: No.
TEACH: That's my point. We can't see God because he isn't there. Possibly he just doesn't exist.
A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions.
The teacher agreed and the little girl as ked the boy:
L G: do you see the tree outside?
TOM: Yes.
L G: Tommy do you see the grass outside?
TOM: Yess!
L G: Did you see the sky?
TOM: Yess!
L G: Tommy, do you see the teacher?
TOM: Yes
L G: Do you see her brain?
TOM: No
LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we were taught today in school, she possibly may not even have one!
