I know it's up for an oscar but I don't always agree with the critics. I mean they all loved Girl with a pearl earring and I thought it was like watching paint dry!

It is such a good film! it really is, it made me laugh all the way through,in a nice way, it wasn't horribly obvious. it was also quite sad, but good. i cant really explain it...it definately worth a watch.

but how can u possibly pick a faveourite answer, you'd have to watch the film to see who was right...and that kinda defeats the question. lol.

Watch it! its great!

i also though girl with a pearl earring was boring.

Considering it's an Indie film, I liked it better than most other candidates. It has some really funny parts and the end totally cracked me up. The family so disfunctional. I did not however find to be over the top fantastic but a really good movie and worth the watch. I agree teh academy has rather boring or liberal tastes in the films they choose. I personally would choose the Illusionist if it were me.

I did not like Girl with a pearl earing either. But this movie is different. Is a good one. Not as good as The Departed or Munich, but a good one, in the same level as a B+ I did not find it Oscar Worthy, that´s for sure, but good for a great moment, that is for sure.

It's very, very, VERY funny, but it's not just a comedy; it has some serious overtones and overall, an insightful message. I really loved it.....then again, I also loved Girl With a Pearl Earring, so.......

It's a lot different than I thought it would be. It was ok, but a lot deeper than you'd think Steve Carrel(sp?) would do. It has moments, but it's pretty sad too. That's probably why it went up for the Oscar.

I didn't think Little Miss Sunshine was the "great" movie that everyone is making it out to be. However, I have friends who will now cite this movie as their "favorite." It wasn't necessarily a bad movie - just not up there with the greats. A little overrated if you ask me.

I thought it was a very funny and uplifting film. It is something new and refreshing, not like the same old crap they put these days. You should catch it.

So is this movie, I just watched it.

The characters all had so much to offer to a really good plot line, but it was never quite brought out in the movie. Everyone's dysfunction was kinda left unfinished at the end...nothing really good or really bad happens, no lessons learned, no redemption...at least not that I saw.
