When I was a kid I saw a movie on TV (late 60s or early 70s) in black and white. It had these aliens or robots like upright vacuum cleaners. In the end there was a parade with all these vacuum cleaners rolling down the street, and this lady and man were getting married. The vacuum cleaners were now good ones. (Or robots or whatever.) It seems like the man and woman were riding in a parade in a convertible car, and she was sitting on his lap & confetti was flying around, and the vacuums were in the parade in neat little rows rolling down the street.

After just a few years of marriage, filled with constant arguments, Banta and his wife Preeto decided the only way to save their marriage was to try counseling. They had been at each others throats for some time and felt that this was their last straw.

When they arrived at the counselor's office, the counselor jumped right in and opened the floor for discussion.

"What seems to be the problem?"

Immediately, Banta held his long face down without anything to say. On the other hand, Preeto began talking 90 miles an hour describing all the wrongs within their marriage.

After 10-15 minutes of listening to the wife, the counselor went over to her, picked her up by her shoulders, kissed her passionately for several minutes, and sat her back down.

Afterwards, Preeto sat there - speechless. He looked over at Banta who was staring in disbelief at what had happened.

The counselor spoke to Banta, "Your wife NEEDS that at least twice a week!"

Banta scratched his head and replied, "I can have her here on Wednesdays and Saturdays."

I play guitar, not in a band, just casual, at home. But i've only ever played chords. I've tried to learn how to play scales with computer programs, but no such luck.

I've looked online in the past for such things, but all I can find is, "pay now and start learning!" I'm just looking for free information.

Anyone have any working links they can send along to help?

I love this movie and plan on staying up to see it on TCM at Eastern time of 0145. I have always adored Norma Shearer and wonder why she isn't the cultural sensation that Joan Crawford and others of this time period are recognized for being to the art of American film.Does anyone else know why Norma Shearer isn't as recognized in film culture today?

It's a song they sang at a camp as a kid. A very, very sad song.

The chorus went:
nye, n-nye, nye, nye, n-nye, nye, nye, nye, nye nye, nye, nye, nye, nye ,nye n-nye.

Or mayne, it was lye, le-lye, lye, le, lye, lye, lye, etc.


I've spent hours searching for the song on the Net. I can sing the tune a little, but I can't find the song with a search engine because I don't know exactly how to spell the words of the chorus.

Any help would be appreciated!
