I'm not a student, but even if I were a student, the time would not matter. I live in south Texas and my city currently paralyzed by what they are calling the "Arctic Blast." So many highways have had to be shut down that virtually every school (and many work places) were closed on Tuesday and will be closed again on Wednesday.
I have lived in the Northeast, where snow days were not declared, unless there was a blizzard... and I have lived in Alaska, as well.
BUT, I live in south Texas, now, where everyone is acclimated to high heat but not to icy cold. SO, we're having "snow days" for ice and sleet. Bring on the hot cocoa and movies!!! Woohoo!!

**EDIT** Hey Myra!! I'm in San Antonio, too! I've got water boiling right now for hot cocoa... and a leftover candy cane I'm gonna melt in the cocoa. :-) :-)

yes and no. I am a student but here in San Antonio all classes are canceled because of the weather. There is ice on the roads and we do not have the equipment or experience to be out in those conditions.

No, I'm being a naughty teacher. I will just have the students put their heads down on thier desks for about 20 minutes in the morning while Ms. Cher catches a power nap. They will love it.

I know, it is so addicting isn't it. My eleven year old Grandson had a real problem getting in bed on time also. Kept having to peek at what Grandma was doing next on Q&A. I am going o need a wheelbarrow to move my bags, Yaaaaaaaaawwwwwwn.Nighty night you all. Mmm

I'm a good boy and stay up longer on shool nights than on wekends. like around 3 or 4 AM. and go to school at 7. I'm in 7th grade.

That depends on my schedule, like if I've got homework assignments that are due the next day, I'd stay up sometimes without any sleep at all. How's that possible? I drink Red Bull. (x
