A few years ago while going to work in a works van with others and going uphill in the ouskirts of a town..our driver stopped because he saw something flashing in the middle of the road. We all got out and had a look and could'nt beleive our eyes. It was a heap of jewelry ......watches--rings--necklaces--bracelets. On one side of the road was a grass bank which had car tracks going down but no car or person lying or hiding in the bushes. we thought it could be a salesman who had an accident...but there was no body. Then we thought it could be a jewel thief who dumped the jewelry there to elude the law. But if the law caught up with him ...why would they leave the loot there. Why had'nt othe people picked up the gems. There were no cordons or police notices. Could it have been a trick by the towns folk to dupe outsiders.

This way, people wouldn't do it for the wrong reasons & revenge and fights maybe woudn't happen so much! All my favorites are gone here almost because of the immaturity of just a few childish persons...What do you think? Any other solutions besides not coming here anymore?

Years, and YEARS ago I watched a movie in elementary school (I'm in my 30s now so it was a while ago). I think it was a Disney movie but I'm not sure. I can only remember that there were a couple of young kids living in a dark mysterious house in the woods, it was a sort of 'scary kids' movie and there was a ghost of some sort who wrote them messages in the fog on the windows. There was also a scary old woman (or man, I'm not sure) who everyone in town was afraid of but the kids ended up getting to know her and she taught them about prisms from the rainbows the light made on her wall. I know it sounds crazy, lol - but this has been driving me insane for days now. Anyone else remember anything about this movie?

It is there...but let us say that if you had a family member killed by another and that person is waiting to be put to death, would killing them bring satisfaction?

I have studied the issue, and have seen somebody "gassed". Sure, there is a lot of "pain" involved to the person executed, but after that they are gone. Suffering no longer, while family victims continue in their grief.

So, the executed got off...would it be better that he stayed alive and suffered life imprisionment. It seems that is better than escaping by death...what do you think?
