The problem really lies in the fact that yahoo doesn't read anything that gets reported and they don't read their complaints either. Trust me, there was a time that I replied to every single violation email I got and I'd get their standard response email and after that....nothing. I've got no real solution for you.....

I would not stop coming on here because some jerk wants to feel a little important by reporting us. I have way to much fun on here.

how much do you think you would pay for Y!A if they had to hire a team of 600-60,000 of "Y!A police" to individually read every single Q&A? each Q&A need to be reviewed how often? every 30 seconds as answers are added?
how many total sub categories are there?
logic it out folks! i couldn't be done by a staff unless you want to spend big bucks for the priviledge of using Y!A.
would Amish be good judges of violations? prison inmates?
i'm guessing that people are getting violated for personal reasons quite often, but i learned early on to be as inoffensive as i can. i may criticize someone for being ridiculously stupid, but i don't call names, nor do i report people.
play the game, be respectable of others, and you'll get reported less often. that's MY plan!

Yes! I have thought of this often. They should monitor the site themselves. It is tiresome and time-consuming. RIGHT ON! Good question! You deserve 10 points for asking this!!!!!

Yahoo doesn't monitor their own chatrooms for pedophiles (of which there are plenty), what makes you think they'd monitor a message board for a bunch of people who can't behave themselves?

In a way yes, in a way no. It depends mostly on the offense.
