We have ALL seen it- that angular letter "S" that we used to draw on our school notebooks & see on walls on the streets. (at least in the cities)

You make it by drawing 3 lines next to each other then 3 more lines right under those, then connecting some of them to form a pointy, angular letter "S".

WHEN did that start??? Maybe someone over 40 (I'm 38) could give a bit of insight.

I remember seeing it back in the 70s as a kid, but it may go further back than that...

So this is a pretty random question.
But my friend and I are obsessed with My Chemical Romance.
And in the song "The Sharpest Lives," in between Gerard saying, "so you can leave like the sane abandoned me," and "there's a place in the dark where the animals go," he makes like a choking noise.
Does anyone know why he does this or what he's saying?

I was just asking a question about Nicolas Cage and everyone said how ugly he was, I am actually strangely drawn to him! lol. I also think Clint Eastwood is gorgeous and Gene Kelly. Elvis was a good looking man in his day too. Who do you fancy?

I remember seeing a movie when I was a kid. It was a cartoon about a male scientist who, through some means that I have forgotten, was brought into a sort of 'magical' realm where dragons existed. I recall that the guy didn't believe that they could possibly be real, but there one was. In the end he figures out that dragons consume limestone, which produces some gas, which they ignite with a sort of sparking device in their mouths.

The moral of the show seemed to be that science had overcome ignorance and that the scientist sort of had this doubting moment where he believed that maybe science had failed him...but then he had this sort of epiphany about the nature of the dragons' fire and everything started to make sense to him.

I recall seeing this in school, so it may have been purely an educational movie. I also don't specifically remember the length, but I doubt it was a full-length feature film or anything. I've been searching for it for years! :)

..most of the time people just say "because of the war". Being the President is a tough job..just try to imagine what this country would be like if John Kerry was running the show? Would it make that much of a difference? Would you rather fight here on your own soil or have the military protect you? What has the President done to hurt you so much that you would hate him?

I don't know much about the "American Idol" that is overseas which is obvious because American Idol is here in this country and it's called something else in other countries. Anyway, there was a really beautiful song sung by the winner who was a male that was about love and/or relationships. I am so sorry I don't have much more to give but there are huge fans out there that will know exactly what song I am referring to.

Does anyone have enough here to go on? Thanks for taking the time to read and/or respond to my question.

An Irish man with a crooked back walks into a coffee shop and sees Jesus sitting in the corner reading the paper. He tells the waitress, "Please send Jesus a cup of coffee, on me." So the waitress takes Jesus a cup of coffee.
Then an Arabic man with arthritis walks into the coffee shop and sees Jesus sitting in the corner. He says to the waitress "Send Jesus a muffin, on me." So the waitress sends Jesus a muffin.

Finally an American man in a wheelchair rolls into the coffee shop and sees Jesus in the corner. He says to the waitress, "Tell Jesus I'll cover his bill." So the waitress tells Jesus.

As Jesus was leaving the coffee house he says to the Irish man, "Thank you for the free coffee. Be healed!" Jesus touches the man's shoulder, and he was miraculously healed.

Then Jesus went over to the Arabic man and said, "Thank you for the free muffin. Be healed!" Jesus lightly tapped the man's shoulder, and he was healed.

Then jesus went over to the American man and said, "Thank you for covering my bill. Be healed!"

As Jesus leaned over to touch him, the man yelled, "Don't touch me man! I'm on workers comp!!"
