The reason I ask that is because they are the only really good suspenseful, unpredictable, scary, and truly new movies out there in the category. Americans are almost entirely incapable of making anything that isn't entirely predictable, slow moving, or simply a rehash of the another movie with a new title, or some tiny twist that derives a new character for the exact same plot and storyline. US movies are unintelligent stiff cyclic extremely predictable and cheesy. They're jammed with too much action, too many over-the-top theatrics, b/c Americans can't think and watch at the same time, so they need a lot of flashy cinema to keep their simple minds interested. So I'm just wondering if anyone has seen a real movie that is good and original even if it isn't European or Asian. I just want to know, and maybe get some reccomendations....

I dont understand why movies are rated PG-13 and PG. I know it stands for parental guidence suggested or strongly suggested but how would this help? kids and their parents would still be wathching the movie together but the kid(s) will still view the movie.
Any reasons why this is?
