What happened to being an artist when it comes to music.

Why do so many people nowdays, who are selling cd's, have people write songs for them and then just sing the songs?

Instead of writing, thinking, and creating their own music and lyrics?

I know this depends on the individual but I'm just wondering how many of you out there have cheated in the past, & down the road when you met someone you really cared for & they asked the dreaded "have you ever cheated on someone" question, you actually answered honestly. Hi. I want to start a band playing rock and punk music but I don't know how. I've started several before but the others haven't been committed. I am deadly serious and I really want to be a musician when I'm older. But my friends aren't musically talented when it comes to guitars and drums, and I don't want to put up signs because I'd just find it embarrassing and anyway, I don't want creepy strangers to come to an audition - I'm too young to be doing that! Please help!
