Depends how people get happy. If there was an electric guitar that you wanted for 7 years, and you had the money and bought it, wouldn't that make you happy?

I just think when they say "Money can't buy happiness" is when someone thinks that money makes the world go 'round. Sure, you can hire someone to love you, but it won't be true love. You can pay someone to be loyal to you, but it won't be true loyalty because they're technically trading what they have and what you need for something everyone wants. I think they should change the phrase to "Money can't buy true love", not happiness, because it could apply to some cases and other times no.

One of the most often misquoted passage of the Bible involves the love of money. The Bible states that "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." If you have the wrong attitude towards money, it will not bring happiness. Life is about balance and appreciating what you have, not acquiring more material things.
