Does anyone agree with me that Tom Bombadil should have been in Fellowship of the Ring?? He was 1 of my favorites in the book, and I was extremely dissapointed that Pete Jackson didn't include him in the movie.

(Yes, there IS an OC in this, but I swear to the Heavens that she is not a Mary Sue. I'm trying to avoid that at all costs.)

This is the summary: Iruka is hospitalized for several months after being injured in a mission. Will Riaru, an eccentric Medic Nin working at the Hospital, make his hospitalization experience better or worse? (IrukaOC)

Yes, Riaru is the OC. No, she will not be the focus. The focus will be Iruka. (He IS the one being hospitalized, after all...)

You're probably asking what drove me to write an Iruka fic. Because I'm tired of the only person he's ever paired up with being Kakashi. And none of the other female characters seem to fit him well, or pay him much attention. So I almost HAD to use an OC.

No, there won't be any action in it, which means the OC has no spectacular fighting skills or kekkai genkai (or in the dubbed anime, bloodline limits).

I'm kind of skeptical of the idea. Would you guys mind sharing your opinions?

The husband comes home after a long day at work, and his wife tells him that she made a surprise dinner for him - only one small detail is missing : snails. So she sends him out to the store to get some. The husband heads out, buys the snails, but on his way home he runs into some friends and gets distracted. Before he knows it, he finds himself at a bar drinking away. The man comes to his senses, excuses himself, and heads home with his bag of snails thinking, 'damn, my wife is going to kill me, it's way past midnight!'
Finally, as he reached his doorstep, the man rips the bag open, and spills the snails all over the deck. The wife comes to the door, looking furious, "Where the hell were you?! I was worried sick.... etc, etc"
The man looks down at the snails, scattered in front of him, "Alright," he says, "one more step boys, and we're home."

When I was a kid, going to the movies was fun. Giant theater, civilized people, confortable seats. Now you have all these multiplexes with 50 screens so that each theater has smaller, unconfortable chairs, and the walls are so close to the sides of the screen that the light bounces off of them and distracts your viewing. Also, the people talk and act like jerks often which distracts even more. I like the trailers but what's with all those stupid commercials. About 15 minutes of commercials. Before there were none. Sky high ticket prices, about $10. I thought the addition of commercials and advertisements should make ticket prices go down. To me movie theaters suck now. I watch more dvd at home now more than ever.
