We live in a small town and we have 1 drive-in movie place. I like it because of the triple features that they play (we can see three movies for the price of one), and I also like the fact that we can tune into a specific radio station and get the movie sound on our car stereo. There are some downfalls to it though, it's only open during the summertime so weather is always an issue, too hot and sticky because of humidity or it rains the night you want to go. So in some ways I prefer the drive-in but it seems to be a dying breed so we go to the indoor movie theatre more often. Although I do have some veeeeery fond memories of the drive-in.

I prefer indoor theaters, as the seats are much more comfortable than in my little compact, but drive-ins are fun for a treat. My city used to have two drive-ins, but the big one with two screens shut down :(

Actually we have three places where we can see newly released movies at drive-in-movies. They run at $5.00 a car on Mondays -Thursday and $10.00 on Friday -Sunday, beats going to the theater and it's so much fun. If you ever visit the Rio Grade Valley here in Texas you can experience the drive-in-movies. Oh! by the way we see two new releases in one night can't beat the price.

The drive-ins have long since disappeared from the Dallas area and I do miss em. It is fun watching a movie in the dark outdoors.

In Maine, we are all living back in 1953, so it's more a question of which one would you like to go to and which one has the cheapest tickets and which one makes the best buttered pop corn! I happen to love drive-ins. They couldn't return enough of them! I used to meditate in the sunshine in an old deserted one on the way to Brunswick. It was this vast expanse of mounds and old microphone stands, and in the background this magnificent gigantic extended oblong, pure white, upon which I would fix my gaze and see all kinds of visions. Best to you, C.

We still have one around here, its about half hour away but I prefer them to indoors, especially when I take my three children they dont have to be so quiet and it is alot cheaper.
